Does it get any better than this!
We all LOVE Charlottesville in the fall and the city market is one of our many reasons why.
My Saturday morning trip to the market was perfect… so many smiling people, intoxicating smells, gorgeous colors.
Check out these pumpkins… I especially love the bluish ones! I would love to get my hands on a bunch of these in varying sizes. Small blue pumpkins would look great as escort cards or placecards for a fall dinner!
And the colors of the grape and heirloom tomatoes… incredible. They are almost too pretty to eat.
See the colored stalks on the swiss chard… we have used these leafy greens in clear mason jars in lieu of florals for “market fresh” centerpieces … adorable! Thanks to Cramer Photo for taking our centerpiece pic.
And then the apple basket of arugula… I had to take a picture..yum!
While shopping we got the inside scoop… the vendors are expecting next weekend is the LAST major weekend for produce! Don’t miss it…
