Pretty Pumpkins

Floral_Inspiration_CharlestonHappy Halloween! To celebrate, we wanted to share a way to put a feminine flair on the favorite harvest pumpkin. While looking for a fresh take on the traditional, we stumbled on these beautiful images on the blog for Lily & Co via Chatelaine. We are very excited to be teaming up with the wildly talented floral designers of Lily & Co. for a wedding in Jackson Hole in August! Thank you for the inspiration.

70′s Inspired Glam

wedding charleston

The bohemian trend has been around for a while, but right now we are more drawn to that 60′s/70′s glam – the more polished, colorful side of things.  Dramatic cat eye makeup, long sleeved gowns, hair with big volume, and oversized floppy hats are all inspired pieces to incorporate into your wedding.  Keep things fresh by adding modern details and choosing a clean color palette.

Winter Fur

If you are planning a winter wedding consider adding something to keep you warm. We love the idea of a vintage fur to keep you from shivering on your special day. There a variety of styles to stay cozy (and glamorous!) such as coats, capes and stoles.

Lucy and Jason’s Farmington Country Club Wedding

Wedding_Charleston

Lucy and Jason were married in late August at Farmington Country Club, located right around the corner from the bride’s family home. Despite the rainy day, the bride and groom had bright spirits and joyful hearts! The bride chose a palate of white, green, and touch of deep blue to give a special nod to the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain view – very fitting for late summer! The groomsmen even wore green ties with fleur de lis, a nod to Jason’s New Orleans background.

We are in love with LulaKate! From the beautiful storefront with exposed brick and sweet details to the lovely ladies behind the dresses we love walking through their doors. We are so lucky to have our Easton Charleston office just steps away from this beautiful shop. Inspiring designers like LulaKate are just one of the many reasons we are so thrilled to be based and planning in Charleston.

We were fortunate enough to borrow the Gardner Dress for a shoot at our own Zero George the other week! The dress was stunning. Thank you LulaKate!

Color Me Beautiful: Sequins

sequins

Sequins have come a long way since the days of princess costumes.  Glitter’s heftier cousin, sequins are an elegant way to incorporate a bit of girlish glitz into your wedding day.  Scattered on the floor or sewn into your gown, sequins pack a pretty punch.

Monograms are a fun way to personalize your wedding and reflect the union of the couple.

Today we are showing several examples from Easton weddings that have incorporated the two -letter monogram into the details of their special day.
