Styled Getaways

getaway car

The getaway car has become one of our favorite details of the wedding day.  It leaves guests with a lasting impression of your event, and it can showcase some of the most beautifully styled details – floral wreaths, monograms, garlands, even sparklers.  The getaway car is a timelessly romantic backdrop for your wedding sendoff.

Charleston Wedding Inspiration: Mercury Glass

mercury glass inspiration wedding

Mercury glass, that mirrored, antiqued metal, is inspiring us – atop tables, in ribboned vases hanging from trees, as candle votives, and grouped in various textures and shades.  This shimmery metal can create great drama when used in complement with other materials like wood, rose gold, or linens.  Keep your table warm and inviting by incorporating soft textures and tones.

Charleston Wedding Inspiration: Winter White

va wedding

It may not be snowing in Virginia quite yet but with parts of the country receiving their first bout of chilly weather, we’re dreaming of winter whites.  A snowy backdrop can be beautiful for a wedding, but even if you aren’t expecting snowfall on your wedding day, a wintery mix of whites, ivories, and creams in a variety of textures can evoke the beauty and glamour of a brisk walk through the snowdrifts.

William Aiken House Wedding Inspiration with Gayle Brooker Photography

We had the great opportunity to do a sweet little inspiration shoot with Gayle Brooker Photography in Charleston, SC! William Aiken House is absolutely stunning, and we are delighted to have our Charleston office just around the corner. So excited to be doing weddings there next year!

We love adding texture and layers to a table design. Pairing a crisp pleated white table linen with layers of colorful china adds a touch of whimsy to tradition. We especially love the clean lines and warm honey color of Snyder’s Lane Chair … hope you enjoy! xoxo Lynn

Color Me Beautiful: Wreath Inspired

It’s beginning to be that time of year again: When wreaths grace doors, windows, and shops, displaying evergreens and seasonal florals.  As a floral headpiece or an elegant boxwood chair adornment, wreaths can be a beautiful addition to your wedding day decor.
