Meredith and William’s Winter Wedding at Pippin Hill Farm

Meredith and William could not have been a more loving and considerate couple…the love they share for one another is contagious and it was heartwarming to see the uniting of two incredibly supportive families!

A beautiful palette of gray, blush, robins egg blue and spring green set the tone for this welcoming winter soiree. The granary at Pippin Hill was exceptionally aglow with beautiful candlelit chandeliers dancing throughout the ceiling. Speaking of dancing, Meredith and William’s guests had a magnetic attraction to the dance floor and the incredible sound of Right On. Following a surprising late winter storm, we were thrilled to be greeted on the morning of the wedding with just a light dusting of snow on the ground, bright blue skies, and the wonderful warm open hearts of our bride and groom…we could not have asked for a more memorable wedding!

Color Me Beautiful: Confetti Toss Exit Inspiration!

Confetti is one of those age-old details that remind us of carefree, summer days spent as children celebrating life’s joys.

Now, confetti can be as sophisticated as gold sequins in a monogrammed velvet pouch and as fun as rainbow-hued bits of flying paper sending a sweet bride and groom off! It’s a great alternative to sparklers!

The Wedding Planner Magazine Cover Sneak Peek!

So thrilled to give a sneak peek of the latest The Wedding Planner Magazine cover. We’re always busy bees at Easton, but this is one of our favorite wedding projects during the season. We team up to create a wedding planning guide specifically for Charlottesville brides, either having a destination wedding in Charlottesville or local brides, to give them a seamless event design concept.

We can’t wait to share our real wedding at a stunning private estate, as well as a beautiful wedding at our fabulous Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards, and weddings at Belle Haven, Tuckahoe Plantation and a private farm.

We loved styling the cover,  photographed by Eric Kelley with florals by Southern Blooms, a beautiful Monique L’huillier Dress, Jewels by New York Designer Kira Kira, Make-up by Lora Kelley and Hair by Charlotte.

Nothing is more wonderful than when we at Easton Events are able to collaborate with Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards (co-owned by Lynn Easton Andrews and her hubby, Dean Andrews) on a fabulous fall wedding

Nicole and Michael’s feature in the just released Weddings Unveiled Magazine – is just that!

Pippin Hill, named Top 50 Wedding Venue by Brides Magazine, was chosen for its design, natural beauty and spectacular views. It is the perfect location for a destination wedding. This lovely fall winery wedding features a dreamy rosy-grey palette and simple yet elegant candle-lit farm tables.  Hope you enjoy! And remember to pick up a copy of this issue – available in bookstores everywhere this week.

A little note from our lovely bride:

“Michael and I live in Florida, but when it came time to plan our wedding we knew nothing could compare to the beauty of my hometown, Charlottesville, Virginia. As soon as we found Pippin Hill I immediately fell in love with the venue: from the gorgoues views of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the bridal suite, barn reception area and soft colors it was absolutely perfect.

Lynn Easton Andrews, Pippin Hill owner, and her team at Easton Events created an event that was beyond our expectations. They took my simple idea of a romantic and timeless affair and turned it into an evening that no one will soon forget. We chose a color pallate and decor that would allow the natural beauty of the vineyard to shine through. Soft blushes, ivories, greys and pale green florals were accented with hundreds of glittering candles evoking a truly romantic feel.

90% of our guest list were from out of state, so it was very important for us that the wedding reflected the southern charm of Charlottesville. Trips to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello were arranged, guests received Virginia peanuts and UVA goodies in their welcome bags, the food at the reception was locally inspired and we had custom Charlottesville maps created with our favorite restaurants and attractions.”

You can see more of this romantic fall wedding at Pippin Hill Farm on Once Wed.

Lighting is one of the utmost important details of a wedding.  A beautifully lit chandelier can transform a Sperry tent into a romantic reception.  With chandeliers made in as many styles as there are wedding fashions, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste.

Ode to all things Printed!

We have had an especially wonderful year of show stopping printed material suites and we would love to give a special THANK YOU to the our stationary gurus that make it all happen! Their creativity, technique and unwavering attention to detail inspire the Easton team and our brides daily. The printed suite is a defining element of the wedding, and discovering ways to uniquely and tastefully lace the details throughout the evening ties the vision together.

SIDESHOW PRESS – The ladies of Sideshow Press are a creative institution in Charleston, South Carolina. Known for their unbelievable letterpress designs and time-honored craftmanship, Sideshow Press delivers beyond beautiful work. As seen in Martha Stewart and Garden & Gun, we feel lucky to work with this remarkable team in Charleston. This year we produced a lavender and apricot suite for Southern Weddings Magazine and a beautiful velvet suite for The Knot.  We also collaborated on a lovely wedding and Charleston shoot and we cannot wait to share the images!

ROCK PAPER SCISSORS – Talk about creative and inspiring energy, the team at Rock Paper Scissors never fails to wow us with their innovative ideas and new printed mediums. We feel amazingly fortunate to be able to collaborate with them on a regular basis. We did many a fun and fabulous printed suite this year and these are just two of the highlights. The gray and blush calligraphy suite for Whitney & Clarke in Southern Weddings Magazine was such a blast! We loved lacing the bee and garland motif throughout the details. The punchy patterned suite for Parker & Scott added that perfect touch of whimsy to their classic white and peony pink wedding.

Erika Jack is known for her lovely and feminine bespoke designs. She works magic with swirls, angles, color, and her signature wax seal. She has a timeless, classic approach but is not afraid to push the envelope with a custom motif, monogram, or beautiful patterned liner. Not only is she a fabulous stationnaire but she is the graphic designer extraordinaire for The Scout Guide! We love any opportunity to work Erika – her work never fails to amaze. The suite below was featured in Southern Weddings Magazine for Lauren & Rob’s wedding.
