We are in love with LulaKate! From the beautiful storefront with exposed brick and sweet details to the lovely ladies behind the dresses we love walking through their doors. We are so lucky to have our Easton Charleston office just steps away from this beautiful shop. Inspiring designers like LulaKate are just one of the many reasons we are so thrilled to be based and planning in Charleston.

We were fortunate enough to borrow the Gardner Dress for a shoot at our own Zero George the other week! The dress was stunning. Thank you LulaKate!

Metallic detailing at events and weddings certainly add a bit of modern glamor. Nothing is more true about one of the more unique metals: copper. With its slightly rosy hue, copper graced some of our favorite spring runways and has become a new staple in metal hardwares; we love Anthropologie’s ode to this hue in its dining chair and flatware!

Fuschia, blush, rose, magenta, coral: We (and the rest of the world) just cannot get enough of pink. As the weather warms, we are taking cues from Spring’s in trend moment, pink on pink. Color blocking continues to make bold statements in fashion, and we are loving its newest form, color blocked monochrome. Lighter pinks paired with neon or deeper pinks look fresh and modern.

Real Wedding Wednesday became Real Wedding Thursday this week as we were away on a corporate event!

Erin and Jeffrey were married in Grace Episcopal Church and celebrated their marriage at Keswick Hall. Their wedding was the full package: stunning bride, dashing groom, lovely bridal party, adorable dog, show stopping gold ceiling drape, and the glow of a full moon. The tent was truly stunning. The three different tones of golden yellow tablecloths topped with lush florals beautifully contrast the dramatic warmth of the tent ceiling. The printed suite was a collection of stunning calligraphy throughout the invitation, the program, and the menu. Check out Erin’s floral applique veil… isn’t it spectacular? Patricia Lyons beautifully captured the sheer joy of the couple!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Lieutenant Matthew & Colleen

Winter 2011 This past November Matt and Colleen were married at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and celebrated in Keswick Hall. In true U.S Navy tradition the couple walked through a sword arch, cut their wedding cake with a sword, and pushed the groom’s face into his own cake! Matt and Colleen really wanted to throw a great party for their friends and family. With an energetic band and a gag gift of aviator sunglasses the guests had a ball!

Inspired by washed out, romantic watercolor images, the Lela Rose 2012 ready to wear collection is among our favorites. We were so taken with her playful prints, we started seeing watercolors everywhere. From a smoky purple eyeshadow to letterpress invitations splashed with a bit of soft color, watercolor inspiration is in abundance. We’re looking forward to seeing more wedding details with a bit of an artistic twist in spring 2012.

Pantone Institute recently announced their pick for spring 2012′s hottest color, and we could not agree more! Tangerine Tango, a bold orange hue, saturated the runways of Fashion Week.
