Easton Events Charleston Opening Party at Zero George

We love a good party! A few weeks ago we had a delightful fete at Zero George, (co-owned by Lynn Easton Andrews and her hubby, Dean Andrews) with all of our favorite Charleston wedding vendors. Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, our fabulous wedding venue in Charlottesville, provided bubbly cocktails, and we loved connect with Charleston Stems for Florals, and La Tavola Linen. Huge thanks to Virgil Bunao for photographing for us and 42 pressed for our lovely invites! See more of opening party on The Wedding Row, The Charleston Wedding blog!

This spring we were honored to design and produce a fall inspired wedding photo shoot for The Knot national magazine.

We at Easton Events  love to collaborate with Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards (co-owned by Lynn Easton Andrews and her hubby, Dean Andrews) especially on a fabulous editorial shoot! :)

Pippin Hill, named Top 50 Wedding Venue by Brides Magazine, was chosen for its design, natural beauty and spectacular views. It is the perfect location for a destination wedding.

We drew inspiration from a muted fall palette with pops of pomegranate. We love layers, so we wrapped the table in hand-dyed muslin to create a lush and romantic table setting.

Charleston Weddings Magazine Feature!

It is such a delight to be featured in Charleston Wedding Magazine this issue! Lowndes Grove was the perfect setting for this lovely charleston destination wedding. Our inspiration for this wedding was a french blue palette, mixed with the sweetly southern monogram, hand crafted lace cake and a gorgeous sperry tent. We chose a lushly stuffed arbor for our couple to exchange vows, all over looking the sparkling water. To see more of this lovely wedding  go here….

We loved this sweet black and white image of the bride with her father… so sweet!

Charleston Wedding Inspiration: Eyelet

Eyelet, lace’s pretty sister, has been steadily making a comeback on runways, in gowns, and in tabletop decor.  Eyelet details bring such a dainty, ladylike quality to any wedding. We love it in pure white or in spring’s colors of the moment: pastels.

Destination Weddings

As the fall approaches are are excited for many new adventures at Easton Events, including a few destination weddings! Here are a handful of helpful hits for planning your own destination wedding:

1. Start planning early. Acquiring a marriage license from some countries can take up to four months.

2. Be flexible while planning your wedding. Some destinations only allow celebrations Monday – Friday.

3. Plan to arrive to your weddings destination early. The bride and groom do not want to be jet lagged before their big day!

4. Try to select a destination that has reasonably priced hotels in the area. If this is not possible, try to compensate for a bit of the hotel room cost, or negotiate for a group rate on airlines or hotels.

5. Great your guest with a warm welcome. How about a cool refreshment and a welcome note to introduce them to your favorite destination.

6. Start the weekend off slow. Throw an informal and casual dinner party for the night of your guests arrival. Serve local cuisine and allow your guests to relax and enjoy the setting.

7. Plan group activities for your guests. Let them experience why the location you choose is so special to you. Make sure the activities are appropriate for all age groups so everyone can attend!

8. End the weekend with an informal brunch so guests can say their goodbyes before heading to the airport.

Zero George, a new boutique hotel about to open in Charleston, was the perfect setting for our little photoshoot this week. From a boxwood runner to a simple place setting the piazza was glowing with the afternoon Charleston light. We are excited to share more images later this month!
