Charleston Wedding Inspiration – Magnolia Blossoms

Magnolia trees are one of the South’s most treasured natural gifts, and we love how we’re seeing the big white or ombre pink blooms cropping up in wedding bouquets, in table runners, even in chandelier designs!  Whether you’re using a single flower or grouping some of the large, flat leaves with other florals, we love these sweet-smelling blossoms.

With daffodils and tulips blooming everywhere, it’s easy to be inspired by spring’s sunny disposition.  Golden hued yellow is such a lovely color palette choice, whether you keep it clean and bright, pairing it with crisp white, or whether you like a more amber color paired with stormy grays.

Charleston Wedding Inspiration: White Florals

Sometimes it’s best to return to what is simple, what is pure.  And elegant white blooms can do no wrong in our opinion.  With an all-white bouquet or table arrangement, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase various textures and greenery.  Whether you’re adding in lots of color elsewhere or keeping your palette all ivory, white florals are just gorgeous.

Lighting is one of the utmost important details of a wedding.  A beautifully lit chandelier can transform a Sperry tent into a romantic reception.  With chandeliers made in as many styles as there are wedding fashions, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste.

Charleston Wedding Inspiration: Ceremony Backdrops

The ceremony is the most meaningful part of a wedding day, and we love ceremonies that exhibit as much thought and care in their decor as went into the rest of the day.  Arches dripping in florals, dramatic displays of candlelight, unique wood signage, or draped linen against a gorgeous landscape are all perfect backdrops in front of which to say your “I do’s.”

Color Me Beautiful: Evergreen

It’s easy to be inspired by all the beautiful evergreens gracing hearths and bringing cheer to doorways. Evergreens are a classically elegant detail to incorporate into tablescapes or to attach to escort cards.  Add a sprig to a boutonniere or slip one into a napkin ring, and you’ll not only add beauty but also a pretty delightful aroma.

Ode to all things Printed!

We have had an especially wonderful year of show stopping printed material suites and we would love to give a special THANK YOU to the our stationary gurus that make it all happen! Their creativity, technique and unwavering attention to detail inspire the Easton team and our brides daily. The printed suite is a defining element of the wedding, and discovering ways to uniquely and tastefully lace the details throughout the evening ties the vision together.

SIDESHOW PRESS – The ladies of Sideshow Press are a creative institution in Charleston, South Carolina. Known for their unbelievable letterpress designs and time-honored craftmanship, Sideshow Press delivers beyond beautiful work. As seen in Martha Stewart and Garden & Gun, we feel lucky to work with this remarkable team in Charleston. ROCK PAPER SCISSORS – Talk about creative and inspiring energy, the team at Rock Paper Scissors never fails to wow us with their innovative ideas and new printed mediums. We feel amazingly fortunate to be able to collaborate with them on a regular basis. We did many a fun and fabulous printed suite this year and these are just two of the highlights. The gray and blush calligraphy suite for Whitney & Clarke in Southern Weddings Magazine was such a blast! We loved lacing the bee and garland motif throughout the details. The punchy patterned suite for Parker & Scott added that perfect touch of whimsy to their classic white and peony pink wedding.

Erika Jack is known for her lovely and feminine bespoke designs. She works magic with swirls, angles, color, and her signature wax seal. She has a timeless, classic approach but is not afraid to push the envelope with a custom motif, monogram, or beautiful patterned liner. Not only is she a fabulous stationnaire but she is the graphic designer extraordinaire for The Scout Guide! We love any opportunity to work Erika – her work never fails to amaze. Color Me Beautiful: Statement Veils

A bride’s veil is one of those details that can truly make a statement on a wedding day.  Cathedral veils hearken back to the most formal, royal weddings and are just timelessly romantic.  Blushers in polka dot or edged in lace are flirtatious and sweet, while a Juliet cap veil is feminine with a bohemian edge.
